About Mikey

Mikey requires one-on-one assistance to function in the world but he is great at teaching his caretakers what he needs and he is always welcoming to new friends. He is a happy, gentle, and affectionate 36 year old who functions much like a toddler.

Mikey suffered oxygen deprivation at birth which has significantly reduced his abilities, however he has made progress and can assist with eating and drinking by himself, is mostly toilet trained, and communicates non-verbally. 

Importantly, Mikey is 5' 9" tall and weighs about 125 pounds, meaning there is a physical component to caring for him as he can walk but he lacks balance which his caregiver must provide.
